Taxi user rights and duties

In addition to the general rights acknowledged to the taxi customer by virtue of consumer rights legislation, the taxi user also has the following rights:

1. To receive service in basic conditions of equality, non-discrimination, quality, safety and preference in the order of request;

2. At stops, to select the vehicle with which he/she wishes to receive service, unless there is an established queue system for the purpose of organization or smooth service;

3. To be attended appropriately by the taxi driver during the provision of service;

4. To express him/herself in any of the official languages;

5. To access a clean vehicle with a well-groomed driver;

6. To be helped by the taxi driver to get into and/or out of the vehicle, in case of reduced mobility problems;

7. To get into and out of the vehicle in places where his/her safety is guaranteed;

8. To transport free of charge a seeing eye dog or other assistance dogs for individuals with reduced mobility;

9. To access the taxi licence number and the current fare rates;

10. To receive the help of the taxi driver to load and unload luggage from the trunk, if carrying such;

11. To choose the route that he/she considers to be the best;

12. To choose the sound volume and the temperature of the inside of the vehicle;

13. To open and close the rear windows and to demand that the heat or air conditioning systems be switched on or off, and to get out of the taxi if his/her requests are not fulfilled;

14. To receive an invoice or receipt that includes all the details of the service: price, origin and destination of the route; tax identification number of the licence holder, licence number and vehicle plate number. Moreover, such document shall accredit that the passenger has paid the price of the service;
15. To receive up to 20 euros of change for the payment of the service;

16. To file the appropriate claims regarding the service.

I need a taxi to Barcelona Airport tomorrow morning. Can I still reserve? With BookTaxiBarcelona you can make your reservation until 1 hour before your required pickup without any additional charge.


Is my booking a private transfer or a shared transport?
We only provide private transfers. You and your party will be the only passengers in the vehicle. So you don't have to wait for other passengers to arrive and no have to do any additional stop until your final destination.


I will need a child seat. Can you provide it? Optional extras like child seats can be added directly in booking form. You can order up to 2 child seats or boosters per vehicle.


What about key collection or intermediate stops? You can add up to 8 intermediate stops to your journey, selecting the link "add stops" located below drop off address. Stops only will be added to your ingoing transfer. Return transfer is intended as direct from pickup to destination.


How much time I have to wait to receive your confirmation?
The confirmation is immediate. Once terminated your booking process you will immediately receive the confirmation voucher in your email inbox. Please verify all details contained in the voucher. It is mandatory to specify a mobile phone number (working in Spain) and your flight number on arrival.


Can I pay to the driver? What about your refund policy?
No, we only deliver pre-paid transfers. But you will be able to modify or cancel your reservation until one hour before your pickup time and we will refund to you the total amount paid. You only have to send us an email (during working hours, Mon-Fri 09:00 to 18:00) with your request or call to the 24 hours helpline to the number printed in confirmation voucher.


Where will the driver meet my party? Where is the meeting point?
Arriving to Barcelona Airport: The driver will be waiting for you at arrivals lounge, after your party has collected their luggage and cleared customs. He/She will be holding a sign showing your name.

Departing to Airport: If you are being collected from a hotel, the driver will meet your group in the hotel’s main lobby. If you are being collected from a private apartment or villa, please have your group waiting out front at the scheduled pick-up time.


There any additional fees to pay? No, there are no booking fees and no charge for PayPal, credit or debit card payment. The price you pay is the total price for your transfer.


My flight is delayed, what I have to do to notify? Nothing! All flights are monitored for delays to ensure the driver will be waiting for you when you arrive.
