he Metropolitan Area of Barcelona has an adapted taxi vehicle service for individuals with mobility problems.

They offer the same service as any other taxi, operate with a taximeter and must apply the same annual fares, which are approved by the Metropolitan Taxi Institute.

The user may also catch a cab of this type at a stop or in the street by raising his/her hand, although this type of service is usually requested by phoning one of the taxi radio dispatch centres.
